Man I hate it when one of my friends who knows next to nothing about PCs ends up getting the beefiest system I can only hope to afford, only to use it mainly for surfing. @_@....makes me choke on my own anger..>

Toronto Raps just picked up Anthony Parker for 12 mill, I heard he's really good and I'm sure he's looking to prove himself. Man were looking like the UN of the NBA with all these international players, it fits the city though. (actually technically he isn't that international, he was born in the US but he played in the euroleague for a while)

Chris Bosh, TJ ford (a good friend of bosh's btw), Mo Pete, Bargnani...ok it doesn't sound like much to the average NBA follower, matter a fact it probably sounds like jack shit. But I think the Raptors can be something special in a year or two, maybe sooner especially with Colangelo's mind along with future movements. Bargnani scoring 20 points in his first Summer league game is a good sign to. Posting this means I can look back in a year or two and either shake my head or nod.

Saw Superman Returns the other day with my boys in 3D Imax fashion (canadian technology baby)..just wish the whole movie used the technology instead of it being in parts. Gotta say Bryan Singer managed to bring Superman back to life in the theatre in a faithful way without recyling any old ideas or bringing back your typical lame Villian (aside from one of the best villians ever..Lex). I know those that don't like Superman because of his almost limitless powers or his personality, but the hell with ya's. Marvel ...Step ya game up, your slipping because right now DC is owning the movies. Annnd X3 sucked

Thanks for the Fraps suggestion btw GS peeps. Anyway besides Oblivion I'm also trying out Sin: Episode 1 emergence which is pretty much a poor man's Half Life 2 (engine and all). But there is one thing they do better in this game, then in Half Life.

Oblivion update [13 Jun 2006|10:33am]
My boy Francis is off to Cuba, I'm off the job for a few days, and I had a big fight with my other best friend about money (the root of all evil so they say), and I have no idea where the other is, probably working as well. I can say I had some time to spend on Oblivion for the past few days. There are few games that brought me back to my regular gaming habits and there are only a few I can name aside from the rest which stood out. I really started gaming with the likes of Super Mario bros at my local day care/youth center which I grew up in (they had consoles all over the place) and I also played games like Shadowrun on the Snes which also impacted my view on good games without the effect of being linear. I started to slack off after the various platformer imitations started to appear, then the Playstation came along and I got a taste of FFVII and it pretty much changed my gaming habits and tastes. I played it at a cousins house and the cinematic feel of the game gave me an experience that changed my view on video games for a life time, which before it imo the majority were pretty childish and simple in design and story. (Never played the previous FF's around this time because I just never had access to them with my poor ass).

As the gens passed I went onto Shenmue (which was a step in the right direction) and then FF10 which was another standout and while I loved the game I had another need for something that broke away from a certain mold, something that didn't limit the freedom I desired in a game without sacraficing the experience of good character interactions with a decent story (like Morrowind's flaws). Now I gotta say I haven't spent this much time on a game since Final Fantasy 10 honestly and that's pretty sad. I found myself getting bored of a game before getting to complete them but Oblivion has really filled the need I've desired in a game for the longest time. It's the ultimate year long quest in which I can do what I want to do and not have a dull story in its place. They actually have NPC's that have daily things they have to do without you being there which puts an extra sense of realism in the experience.

Just as an example of how deep this game is... I once followed and watched a NPC's habits throughout a single day, they got up at the same time every day (around 8 in the morning), walked along the main street saying Hi and talking to the usual people, proceeded to buy a couple of things at the market and then went outside the city walls to then proceed to there daily job of growing crops etc, I then spoke with her and she said "oh it's you again"..as if she knew I was following her. It was so simple yet so amazing to witness in a game and it shows where these interactive experiences are really going. Also the amount of things you can do in this game while ignoring the main quest are almost overwhelming. You can join a fighters guild and make some money or do extra and rather entertaining quests, or any of the other guilds to make a name for yourself. Or you can sign up in the deadly Arena and turn a nobody into a champion where everyone will know your name. Take a stroll throughout the vast lands with your own personal horse and go looking for adventures, exploring different caves, dungeons while looking for artifacts. Or heck get bitten by a Vampire and become one of the undead and struggle with that side of you, it's really up to your own imagination since I haven't begun to mention everything.

Despite all that, it isn't a perfect game. I had some issues with the difficulty level but this is really up to the player whether or not he or she wants to exploit this. Oblivion is made so that enemies adjust to your current level, if you stayed at level 1 or 2 while still building up your equipment etc then you'd be able to breeze by most enemies without breaking a sweat as a Warrior or someone who uses weapon combat instead of Magic. Personally I made it to a Gladiator Rank in the Arena at level 2 which is pretty pathetic when you think about it. The people at Bethesda Softworks should have applied this to certain areas only but hey you can't please everyone when you make a game this huge. Also the guards are freakin hard to dodge (I know this probably isn't a flaw), I just wish I could get away with more with my evil self. Also for the next Morrowind I hope they make it a requirement to eat (which can affect your appearance, they have so much food around in Oblivion but it doesn't do much except help alchemists), I know it's alot to ask for but they can only get more realistic by going in this direction. Anyway I'll post more pics of this game as I go along, this deserves to be in my Gamespot blog tho o_O.

Does anyone know how to get started in Ragnarok o_O I downloaded it and tried some of the free servers, something called FunRO and I'm walking around just seeing these experienced people cast different spells on themselves, no one is really talking and I have no idea where to start. In the old days when I tried out a mmorpg everyone was in character.

Time for a gaming entry:

Anybody who knows me should know I'm a huge Metal Gear Solid fan, I mean I got original Metal Gear posters, got the soundtracks, every single game ever made including the MSX versions, and I went as far as putting the MGS4 trailer on a DVD for my own viewing..both the TGS version and E3 version. Lastly I got Kojima's genius pose posted on my wall with the quote "the gameplay and experience is a message to the player that he or she is part of a digital society, playing in this world made possible by the playstation". So you can safely say I'm obsessed with the series. I just got my hands on Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence special edition and I gotta say this is a MGS fanatic's dream game. The 3rd person behind the back angle (Splinter cell like) makes the game feel like an entirely new experience, the video modes last for hours (including Kojima making fun of himself through them, and the documentaries), and the online mode seems pretty dang fun and balanced. I look forward to slitting some throats very soon (altho they don't allow you to for real, which sucks Konami).

What is wrong with this society when a black man and his friend (me and my friend) standing at a bus stop means an undercover cop can interrogate us disrespectfully while under the assumption that we are selling drugs while ignoring the other people walking around, man I'm pretty pissed right now...

Gotta give the Raps props for picking up former general manager of the suns and former GM of the year Bryan Colangelo and making him our president and GM. Almost makes up for the bad decisions Rob Babcock has made in the past. I can see some progress happening with the Raptors despite them going through a rebuilding process, most of the games they seem to play against against the top teams always remain close or with us ahead but end up with poor execution down the road which is a regular for any young team (ugh that 24 point lead lost with the Mav's really had me pissed for a good day or two.

One thing I hope Bryan moves towards (since I heard him make hints) is turning the Raptors in the future into an international blended team which would reflect Toronto's social structure. I have nothing against Americans but I am getting tired of certain American players building there talent here and then leaving to go back home when they're established for selfish reasons. I remember certain players stating that there reasons for leaving were solely because of the location (same goes for those considering coming here). Another reason could be simply due to the fact that they can't handle the media attension down here (in terms of media pressure Toronto is up there along with New York). Despite all that I believe international players would welcome Toronto's location alot more then your typical state, the different cultures here are almost always in your face and it's refreshing for any player living outside or near North America. Anyway regardless of all that I see a bright future, I just hope Bryan does what he did for the Suns for the Raptors.

And damn Mike James know your role and pass the ball to Bosh down the stretch, face it your not a clutch player. ~_~

so I emailed this guy, Stephen A. Smith.

title or description

I've disliked him since the most recent NBA draft beause it isn't what he said, it's how he said it. I emailed his ass and said the following

Subject: Admit it man

Charlie's number 3 in the rookie rankings, he's remained on the charts for quite a while which eliminates that weak "it's too early" argument. He's going to the rookie all star game and he's helping his team win. Any player that manages that deserves to be drafted regardless of the position. Currently he's managing the small forward/forward spot as a starter while doing pretty well which gives bosh all the room he needs (and he's versatile enough to take on other positions). (another prediction on your part down the window) Bosh is apparently doing perfectly fine with Charlie on the same team and vice versa with him going to the All star game as well. Now I gotta say have you apologized to this cat yet after all this time for practically embarrassing him on a national level along with the Raptors organization for deciding to pick such a player? cause I doubt anyone can fully put trust in your comments draft wise after this. I look forward to seeing your critique's in the future regardless because it should be an entertaining affair, but a thoughtful one? gotta wait on that.

I'll be posting his reply, I can't wait to see what he has to say.

CAn someone explain to me how any team in this day and age can let a player score 81 points in a single game by himself. I don't care if it was Micheal Jordan at his prime it's just unexceptable. I'll give kobe his props but come on o_O I watched that whole history making game live and I was amazed by the lack of double or triple teams on kobe, bosh got more triple/double teams then him by the other team for damn sakes. @_@, Took me more then a day to cool off from that, I would of had more then a couple of swear words if I wrote it on the same day as the actual game.

Been busy lately but I'm still reading people's journals. I just got myself one of those scanner/printer/photo copier all in one type deals and I'm fiddling around with this scanner. I found a picture a few days ago I drew in class while the teacher was annoying the hell outta me with his natural ability to put me to sleep. Anyway here's my boy Vegeta, wish I kept drawing so I could of upped my skills.

Going to my uncle's house probably made this christmas the best I've had thus far. Before going there I was just generally happy to have gotten everything I wanted, from my mom for one because when you go from getting nothing last year because of financial problems to getting so much (I really didn't bother to ask where she got the money, probably saved it).

I firstly got a new television from her, I've been stuck with a 13 inch television for my room for quite a while because my other tv broke down. When you're stuck with a tv like that having to watch movies and games on it, it's a freakin blessing to get a big tv afterwards, sure its not a HD television like I planned on getting myself but its a flat screen tv and getting a high definition wouldn't of been worth it yet anyway. Prices are still high and since it was mainly for gaming purposes It's pointless to get it before the ps3 comes out. Got a painted poster of kobe and shaq side by side which looks amazing, a bunch of surprisingly branded clothes, a braun electric toothbrush ( wanted this for the longest time, I'm one of those that hates brushing my teeth the way we do), and a 5.1 sound system for my television.

My mom got a george forman grill, a bunch of candles (she's a candle freak), a huge manger that lights up, and some framed pictures. My uncle and aunt lastly got a bunch of dvd's which I burned, movies they can't find on dvd yet but they retained a dvd sort of quality (managed to find wolf creek the other day, how? I have no idea), nero vision makes it so easy.

As for the get together, infact it was only my uncle's family, a spanish family of 5 whom I never met (but took a liking too), another person and his son, and my cousin's adopted brothers and sister (long story). Great times, good food, really loved that spanish family alot because they were so friendly and the oldest son was funny as hell, played some pool, we watched the movies I made till freakin 2:30 in the morning and then went home. I'm still tired as I write this so I probably have tons of spelling mistakes, grammer errors etc but me and eventho I really feel like I'm rambling it doens't matter. I had such a good day I had to talk about it. Hope yall had a good day as well
